Lorrie Jan Bortner and husband, Thomas J. Johnson moved to Taos, New Mexico in 1995. Both have a love of color and paint with oil on canvas. Lorrie also paints murals, furniture, fabric, and creates monotypes. In addition to painting, Tom creates monotypes and linocuts which capture the feeling of the Taos area.

Xochiqueztal, weavings of Mexico, is a business started to support women and families in traditional textile design.  Lorrie is currently representing textiles by Mayan, Zapotec, and Otomi women.
