souvenirs. We headed back to Albuquerque where we
took a nap and prepared for dinner at the Belle Vista Restaurant, which is
located on the East Side of Watermelon Mountain This restaurant is able to
accommodate
over 1,200 people. They offer a varied menu but specialize
in all the fried fish and chicken you can eat. After dinner
we had a few drinks and then retied to our hotel since we were all worn out
from the day's activities. We rose again the next morning at 3:00 A.M.
and started all over again. After the four days we started for
home but as we flew we started planning for next years trip back.

If you mention skiing in connection with New
Mexico, individuals tend to wrinkle up their faces and laugh or ask how can you
ski in the desert. But the truth is that New Mexico has several ski areas and
one of them is the world-renowned Taos Ski Valley.
Taos
Ski Valley is located in the north central area of the Sangre de Cristo
Mountains It has 9,2OO feet base that rises to well over 12,000 feet and with
their eight chair lifts it offers 72 different runs for all levels of skiing.
The courses run from the easy cruiser to impressive double black
diamonds.
Their children's center brings the joys of
skiing as well as provides all the equipment that children would need Lessons
are available for first timers all the way up to the most experienced young
skiers; classes are small and arranged by age and ability level.
