Teens and Drugs


Our culture, and all cultures throughout history have had access to and used 'drugs' for various initiations, rites, religious purposes as well as simple enjoyment and pleasure.
Our present culture has access to more drugs than at any other time in the history of mankind. We have access to over-the-counter drugs, such as aspirin and other pain relievers, decongestants, salves, ointments that cover all the minor aches and pains. We also have pharmacueticals for the more serious pains and disturbances, and a entire host of controlled substances that are available on the street.
We are besienged with information about various drugs and various drugs are pushed over television, radio, movies, magazines. Is it any wonder that our children are well versed in the drug culture? The purpose of this resource is to direct parents, children, educators and anyone else to information about drugs in our culture.
