On the road to Taos Ski Valley, only minutes from town, stands
one of those unique old homes in the Taos Valley. Hand-built by world renowned
artist Charles Stewart and his wife, Mary Lou, it was for many years their
home, his studio and a gathering place for some of the great artists
of the Southwest.
Remodeled as a small country inn, the Stewart House Bed and Breakfast
is today one of those "special" discoveries people make in Taos...if
they're lucky! The feeling here is warm and friendly with a comfortable
Old West ambiance. The eccentrically undefinable architecture contributes
to its rustic charm.
Sitting on the edge of Taos Pueblo land, the inn offers a magical
view of spectacular Taos Mountain and the surrounding mesa. Enjoy the view from our hottub or your private patio. In the large living room of the main house the historical sense of informal and easy social gatherings continues with a welcoming fire, library, TV, VCR, stereo sound system and various board games. |
