30 Nacoma Road

This residence built in Taos 2 years ago is representative of the idea that architecture is indeed an art, and as such should be an artistice expression of its creator. This implies that slavish emulation of past "styles" is to be proscribed. The expression of contemporary ways of building, with contemporary building materials, reflecting contemporary lifestyles is to be sought. This approach to design...this particular "art" as it were, does not preclude references to antcedents, it only demands that the "artist" be creative and honest. It demands a distinction between design and decoration.
