Rates for professional legal services vary, depending on the specific need(s) of the client. You are encouraged to discuss actual fees and costs. Basic rates are as follows:
 
$150.00 per hour - Non-litigation matters
$180.00 per hour - Hearing/Trial matters
$100 - Initial consultations. Waiver of this fee may be requested in hardship cases.
Flat rates, for specific matters, may be requested. Contingency fee cases range from 33 1/3% to 45% depending on the complexity of the case and other factors, as explained during fee discussion.

Unless waived, a "retainer" fee will be required prior to the start of the case. The exact amount will depend on several factors which, again, will be explained during the fee discussion.

Billing is done on the standard one-tenth (.1) of an hour format and is detailed to the client in his/her/their billing statement with applicable NM gross receipt tax shown thereon.

In addition to the basic per hour rate, the client is responsible for all out-of-pocket expenses, which includes, but is not limited to: photocopy &/or fax charges; court fees (filing fee, service of process fee, etc.); mileage & per diem charges; long-distance calls and other similar type out-of-pocket expenses.

Civil Air Patrol

The official auxiliary of the U.S. Air Force, providing Missions for America, in the areas of:  Emergency Services, Cadet Programs, and Aerospace Education.

Providing specialized training/consulting to employers, groups, and organizations, as well as info on courses at UNM-Taos which I teach.

A listing of courses which I teach at the Univ of New Mexico at Taos.  Students enrolled in my courses can (and should) check this page at least weekly for announcements, assignments and related information.
