Lady In The Water

It is listed as a fantasy/drama.

I went to see this movie because the previews made it appear to be interesting. When will I ever learn?

This movie may just go down in my book as the worst movie that I have ever seen.

It appears that the movie is based on some ancient fable about a people who live in water and have some control over the destiny of man.

Perhaps that fable had some merit in the original telling, whenever that was.

The guy who got the bright idea to make a movie based on this fable was smoking or snorting some funny stuff. The producers who decided to finance this debacle also must have had their share of a couple of bottles of vodka.

It is also interesting that this film was a fantasy/drama and not listed as a comedy. However, the entire audience was snickering during many of the "dramatic" scenes. I also suspect that the actors took the job because a paycheck is a paycheck.

There are no actors of any note in the film except for the guy who starred in "Sideways."

I couldn't help thinking to myself as I left the theatre, "What a piece of S...."
