I am married with 2 sons also married but no grandchildren - yet! Semi-retired with John after many years in business - plumbing & heating. Mark (youngest son) runs business with our background help. Paul (oldest son) is a telecommunication expert for BT in Ipswich. We have a chocolate labrador called Rosie. We live in Stanley, near Perth in Scotland "gateway to the Highlands." Just moved house for the 12th time (lots of good/bad moving anecdotes) once to Algarve stayed 5 years.
Hobbies - usual ones cookery/baking, which I love, gardening and garden design also but arthritis getting in the way a wee bit, reading and collecting books mainly on cookery and gardening. Listening to music, big bands, opera, jazz, rock & roll, seem to have just about everything taste in music. Reading about alternative medicine, crystal therapy and Native American Folk medicine. Going to the local auction houses with John, we usually buy pictures or anything else that takes our fancy, over the years have furnished several houses this way and always put everything back into the sale when finished with it, now downsized in houses and have put quite a lot back lately.Have started quilting but only at beginners stage. Have recently learned to work this computer so I can do company bookkeeping on it. (Still very difficult but I'm a try-er) Like talking to people and putting the world to rights - don't we all. Have been member of Actionaid to Burundi for 25 years and recently joined Adopt a Granny Scheme only thing is I got a Grandad. I hope this gives you some idea of what I am about.
