I was born February, 1929, the year of the crash. I was the only dividend my parents received that year. I was raised in the mid-West, in Southern Illinois. At an early age I was fascinated with radio and decided to make broadcasting my career.

After college, with a degree in Communication Arts, I landed my first radio announcer job. A couple of years later, I entered television as a writer, producer, director. Promotions brought me into management as production manager and program director of operations.

During this period, I continued my education and after a year's study, was granted a Masters in Communication Arts.

Each promotion took me to a larger market with the trend moving me from the mid-West toward the East Coast and eventually to New York City the "big time."

I joined the faculty of The City University of New York as a professor teaching Television/Film Production and Direction for four years. This lead to a teaching position at New York University in television and film production.

I left NYU to join the American Management Association as Program Director of Media Development, producing and directing management education/training films.

Not being a minority, "Affirmative Action" prevented me from furthering my preferred career choice in commercial television with the major networks, which is where I thought I could excel. Facing reality, I pursued other options.

I found a challenging position with The Chase Manhattan Bank in Corporate Communications.

I took Chase's early retirement package at age 63.

The above 'employment history' spans about 42 years. There is enough "living" during that time to support at least two novels had I written them.

I met Maria in 1973 and we were married the following year. She was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1929. I am one month older than she. We've been married 23 years.

There is enough "living" during that time to support one novel. I keep threatening to write it.

Being the joker, I kid her that if I had killed her when I first felt like it, I'd probably be out on parole by now. She doesn't find that too funny. Regardless, our theory is 'as long as we keep our sense of humor, no problem is insurmountable.' And it has worked.

We have a great, satisfying life.
