My name is Gene Ehrich and I was born in Philadelphia Pennsylvania USA 4/19/35. I was married in 1959 and had two daughters born in 1963 and 1969. After a rather troubled first marriage I upgraded wives in 1995 and am extremely happily married to Yolanda (picture) who was born in Managua Nicaragua. I have two daughters from my first marriage while Yolanda has a son and daughter from her first marriage. We consider ourselves to fit the definition of soul mates. We each have four grandchildren for a total of eight. They range in age from 3 to 17.
I was by trade a computer consultant retiring from IBM after 27 years in 1991. Eight years followed as an independent computer consultant completing my last four year assignment in New Jersey in 1999. We began a search for where to retire in 1997. Among the cities that we looked were Charlotte, Austin, San Antonio, Las Vegas and more. We then concentrated on Florida where we looked in over 20 cities until we found our ideal spot . We built a new home in Spring Hill Florida in 2000. Spring Hill is a rapidly growing unincorporated town of almost 100,000 people. It's in Hernando County which is about 40 miles north of Tampa and the fastest growing county in the US.
We are both politically active. We are members of the Hernando County Democratic Executive Committee. I am President of the Wellington Democrats. Wellington is the gated community that we live in.
As of 4/03/05 we have met thirteen elders & spouses and look forward to meeting more. If you are ever in our neck of the woods please give a holler and stop for a visit.
