    You are to email me, in one complete package, the answers to the following question(s), problems, etc. by NLT (no later than) Monday, December 10th at 5:00 p.m.  Good luck!

1.   At the Nolo Law website, give me their exact legal definition for " Habeus Corpus "

2.   At this same site, give me the exact legal definition for " Probable Cause "

3.   At the Nolo Law website, in the Criminal Law Overview section, there is an article which gives you the legal "citation" for the United States Supreme Court case of   Terry v. Ohio.  Please give me the US Sup Ct cite to find the case.

  Extra Credit for Question 3:  in a separate email, in memo format, provide me with a case analysis for Terry v. Ohio.

4.   Using any search engine site you want, which Federal Rule of Criminal Procedure details the initial appearance before a U.S. Magistrate?

5.   What is the 2nd Bill of Right as described by Brig. Gen. Stephen W. Kearney, on Sept. 22, 1846 (hint, you can find it under the NM Territorial Laws section)?

6.  Under Sec. 34-6-11 (NMSA 1978 as amended), how many judges are there in the 8th Judicial District of New Mexico?

  Extra Credit for Question 6:  where are the office(s) of the Judge(s) located?

7.   What was the minimum temperature, in Taos, NM on September 20, 2001?

8.   Name at least one state court of "limited jurisdiction" in New Mexico.

9.   Please give me the exact wording of Amendment V to the U.S. Constitution.

10-12   List 3 (of the many) "exceptions" to the requirements for a search warrant.

13.   Provide me with the hyper-text "link" that will get me to the "Forms Page" of the NM Supreme Court Law Library.

14-15.  Name at least two (2) of the "lounges" found at the 'Lectric Law Library

Congratulations on completing your final exam.  It was a great class and, as you told me in the last class, I'm very pleased that you feel you learned alot - both about criminal law as well as using computers.

Don't forget, to pass the word (and, if you haven't taken the class yourself, be sure to sign up) that next semester I'll be teaching Introduction to Paralegal Studies, Thursday evenings, from 6:00 - 8:30 p.m. (although the schedule tentatively says that the class will be at THS 223, this may change.  Check my website, or call UNM-Taos, to verify location.
